Yes it would Hector and that's exactly what I would do.
You're doing a great job! I can't recall anyone repairing a 3 wire 2 speed motor before.
In your first photograph, the brush at the bottom of frame looks the most severely worn, closely foillowed by the brush at the top right. I'm interested to find out to which colour wires these are attached.
