Default Bonnet stuck shut - resolved thanks to all who helped

Just a short post to thank sworks and greeners with the above problem.

Also thanks to the other members who weighed in to offer help and encouragement.

I would repeat what I wrote to the mods - I should have taken more note of the useful posts on cleaning and relubricating the mechanisms that hold the bonnet.

I would urge all other members to have a look at their own car and follow the advice of people like Jules on the forum.

Or, like me, you could leave it until something horrible happens and then spend a half day contorting yourself into shapes nature never intended you to assume.

And then still have to clean and lubricate the locks anyway!

Best regards, Frank
