I mentioned this to one of my sons who has a garage and he said putting aside the noise being caused by a fault with the camshaft and followers, an occasional cause of oil flow / pressure problems on the K series can be the pump pressure valve not seating, the oil pick up pipe filter being blocked, or the oil pick up pipe o ring being split.
