As your car is a diesel and you only had about 40 miles of diesel in it you are taking a chance that it might stop altogether.
The general advice with a diesel is to NEVER let your tank fall below a quarter full. --If the in-tank pump is dead you might be starting, with your rough tick over, to be experiencing the start of the under-bonnet pump failing. --- |
