Default Cheap MAF's

Following on from my feedback on my check engine light, I need a new MAF.

However, being tight, I wanted to check out the wisdom, or otherwise, of buying a cheap ebay MAF.

I noted a comment by one poster that it was unwise to do this, but wondered if there was any sensible opinions out there from people who had bought either Bosch or cheap ebay - or both preferably.

A lot of people will just buy Bosch, content to rely on the name.

However, ss noted by many, the original MAF is far from perfect, with PB MAF's voted for by many.

I am also aware that a large number of aftermarket parts are not to good, but equally, if I know someone who is in the trade, and in the know, I will follow theri advice.

A friend of mine sells heated oxygen sensors which are much cheaper than the originals, and just as good.

So let's have it guys, who has experience with MAF's, rather than just opinions and pre-conceived positions.

Best wishes, Frank
