When I bought my first 75 V6 back in 2001 I had a fault with EP in the first week. The car would lose power and the gearbox would make a thumping noise as if a driveshaft was coming out. It reset when switched off and restarted. I took it to the dealer and they said it was down to a poor earth in the n/s kick panel.
