cheers Arctic. I make some inserts out of I think Nylon or some sort of "plastic" rod. They were tight fitting with some Super Glue added . I then used the fix that... was it you suggested, to add some metal brackets to the broken "lugs" on the tail light cluster. I also drilled and bolted the bracket in place as well as super glued it. I then used a self tapping screw thru the metal and into the "Nylon" insert.

When I removed the cluster and saw the butchers hole in the chassis, I was at a loss on how on earth I was going to over come it.
