I noticed when I had a wing off on my 2004 diesel there was a plastic bag with foam in it wedged down between the wing and body near the door.
Also extra sound deadener on the under tray on the diesel.
I would think putting deadener inside the doors would make a big difference.
Maybe a bit more under the rear seat might help as well.
