I was wondering if any other members have been affected by the latest lighting strike, an house four down from me had its roof blown off, damaged all the wiring in the house, now it as been inspected they have found asbestos in the roof area and the poor lady as to move out, due to the find & the roof being unsafe.
It also blew our sky router/modem, travelled through the ethernet wire into my PC tower and damaged the mother board
that is now with our Nano wizz kid Jamie whom is taking a look at it for me and hopefully can repair or add a new mother board BIG Thanks & shout out to Jamie.
New sky box arrived today, plugged in chap from open reach as just left so we now have a land line & internet again so can not fault Sky on their call out service.
It seems that quite a few in our street had trouble one couple a few doors down had their TV blow up as it struck the antenna.
Weather warning is for another storm tonight so all the appliances will be unplugged even though the saying lighting never strikes twice in one place
not taking any chances.
