Whilst the great British public are out there one only has to mention a possible shortage of an item/product to see them falling head over heels to buy up the stock. If a trader has excess stock of anything, it might be worth advertising potential shortages of it in the future.

I have heard that there is a marmite shortage also lemon shortage
you can also bet your bottom dollar the petrol staions will be in no hurry to lower the price of fuel either, so win win for them.
