I bought a relative cheapo Polish tray for £38 off ebay for my CDTi as the car came without one. The 6 side holes lined up OK (3 each side) but not the 4 at the front in the air dam. For the front fixings, I drilled through the existing 4 holes at the bottom of the air dam into the undertray and used stainless steel self tappers and washers to fix them. The undertray must lap over the underside of the Dam. When I remove the tray for an oil change, I will mount spire clips over where the holes have been drilled into the undertray to better locate the self tappers. I guess using a cheap undertray may not be as good as a sound proofed/heat treated genuine original, but at the time I coud not source one under £114! ED
