That's a point Brian. High quality 20 year old parts vs possibly low quality replacement parts. Bit of a toss-up isn't it.
Might also depend on how much force is required to re and re the ball-joint tapers from the subframe. If a lump hammer is used that may cause issues.
Wouldn't it be nice to have confidence in new parts!
