It's a stroboscopic effect.---( As for ignition timing lamps for engines. )
If the strobe flickers at the same rate as a revolving object the object will appear to stop moving.---VERY dangerous.
Seeking that effect in your garage you just have to spin your missus around a tad faster to match 50 cycles of the mains supply.--- |
