Put your Hand inside the Door and feel for a Bar going Vertical with a plastic Clip / Plug / Box at the bottom, Push at this upwards (Or downwards I forget which) and it should release the Door.

I have noticed something when I repaired my Door from being locked out, I think the Door handle itself comes away from the Latch slightly, thus not allowing the "Pull" required to release the Doors. I need to look into this more, but I am fairly confident about this. Sorry I know this bit wasn't relatvie to your thread
