Visited York yesterday. The only Rover I saw, apart from mine, was a 75 driven by a gentleman wearing a jacket and tie. I think that one should always dress well when driving one's Rover.
It occurred to me that the noise one hears in one's Rover is really Elgar, the driver's handbook is like Shakespeare's collected works, one does not drive a Rover - one takes the helm of HMS Victory, the interior is like the House of Lords and the view out is looking upon green and pleasant lands and clouded hills or Downing Street, one does not get into a Rover - one climbs aboard.
