You are right about that, and this gasket could be fitted directly to my block as-is. Regarding the state of my cylinder heads, I do not have the guts to fit this gasket directly to it without a saver shim. So I will basically do the extra work to shim the liners to make the block MLS/Nserie gasket ready. Feeling no of the alternatives is both right or wrong... Doing the decisions is the charming thing of repairing a K-series engine...
