Does anyone know of a reasonably priced honest garage in East Sussex, preferably one with some Rover expertise?

I'm just having a new Alternator fitted on my 2004 Connie diesel by a local garage that seems to be honest, but £416. Having always done my own work, I know very little about garage prices, but this seems a wee bit steep. The last one I replaced was a roadside repair and took me about 41/2 hours but I reckon that with workshop facilities and experience I could have knocked it down to about 3 hours.
