Hi, I also have one of these in-line housings fitted with the 88 degree stat. supplied.

With the on board temp. diagnostics displayed, mine builds to 91 degrees and then opens, dropping to 84 and then building again to 89 and continues cycling in this way.On the motorway I have seen this cycle between 93 and 83 degrees but the temperature gauge always stays at the 9 o clock position.

My warm-up time is less than 5 minutes or 2 miles, but I have a FBH with a manual switch which I always use at start-up.

Hope you find this helpful in determining if yours is faulty.
