TSAutos cut and recrimped mine, and absolutely no problems since.
Last year, I put a new seat cover on so had to remake the connectors myself. I used decent choccy block in case I need to remove the seat again. I
did tin the ends of the wires to help the choccy make a good connection (Weller 40W iron and Weller high temp lead free solder), and honestly, no light since.
