I understand that Androidice will indeed be a very good solution, but would prefer to try the single DIN route for now; and yes, as a poor pensioner, cost does matter. I appreciate you most often get what you pay for, but I am also constrained by lack of funds and an addiction to finding a true bargain
. I'm not sure I would recognise ISO connections if I saw them, but presumably my CR80 radio cassette player, as a standard Rover player, will have them.
