There are several ball joints in the rear suspension that wear and then rattle. You won't feel it through your backside or feet, and they may not even make your car wandery. Rear top arm- to-hub ball joint (often misleadingly described as a bush when it is actually a ball joint within a bush), and of course, anti-rollbar drop links. You are insulated from these metal-to metal rattles by large rubber sub-frame mounts and many rubber bushed suspension joints.
