Yes but we need to find out if there's a jet of petrol when you crank the engine (just for one or two seconds). If there isn't, it points to the crankshaft sensor or, more likely, damaged wiring as Trikey has advised (see my initial reply).

It just seems strange that it ran fine after tightening the fuel filter to not running today.I will have a look tomorrow as the battery is off for charging at the moment,cheers Simon.
