Welded cars! I always remember seeing an Austin 1100 that had been a cut and shut job that broke in half going over a hump back bridge. The front end with two occupants ended up in a field on the offside and the rear half (with the occupants still strapped in) just rolled to a stop on the road (both occupants with their feet tucked up under their chins! They just stepped out without a scratch! I don't know if the recovery truck got paid once or twice!
