I had a '98 3 litre Ghia (Mk1), beautiful car, admittedly with the auto choke and that nice V6 it only did 9 mpg in the winter but fuel was cheap then and it sounded so good, I kept it a couple of years before swapping it for a Series 2 XJ6.
I drove a Mk2 Granada diesel over many miles as a taxi, never missed a beat but it was a NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD- to keep the engine warm, a bit like my ZT now
.
My dad had a Mk2 2 litre estate with the pinto engine, he pulled a big caravan all over the UK with that.
That is a nice car for sale, a well kept example.
