After God knows how many hours & re-installing XP on two different machines, I have at last managed to connect the T4 to my daughter’s Tourer (which is awaiting much deferred cambelts). Why now? Not sure, driver issue perhaps, or as suggested by Phil a regional setting. Curiously DST0006V still won’t load but an older DST0004 does (after reinserting).
It is however a joy to know that the T4 actually works, even flashing LEDs
. As the unit was destined for the tip and hadn't been used for years, I was unsure of its state.
Thanks to many, primarily to MarinaBrian, Phil-T4, but also Trikey & Terry @ TS Autos for their input. Is this the beginning of the end? - possibly, but now I’ve got to learn to use the machine.
