It’s an easy job but the electrical connector was a pig to work out without his photo as I recall.
You’ll need a long (pretty sure 19mm) socket.
I ‘repaired’ mine with a blob of solder on the end of the plunger (French Mike tip) but it didn’t last long.
For the low cost of a replacement I’d say just buy a new one.
SKS - I guess it’s just worn out of tolerance to the point where, when warm, it expands enough to work but not when cold.
Colvert - I was surprised to find there wasn’t a sealing washer on the one I took off. I almost posted a question about it here at the time. I fitted the new one without it- ‘seems’ ok.
Anyone else found this to be the case?
