She might want to do a little more research as the RCZ is a Peugeot
. Good choice though. Those Prince engines can be problemativ so a diesel might be the better option unless she does short journeys.
The bearing-in-disc arrangement is a bit of a Frenchism. The Megane that my 75 replaced had the exact same arrangement. One of the bearings started to groan which meant replacement 2x new discs and a set of pads. I was not impressed as there was nothing wrong with the pads or discs themselves. That said, replacement was fairly straightforward and the lack of corrosion impressive.
