1 dead
2 dead
3 working correctly, fast.
I am unsure about how exactly to fix this problem. After reading, the most common fault is the brushes and it seems these are the favourite replacements https://www.ecp.co.uk/rover75-carbon-brushes.php

I am unsure how to go about fixing this problem and where to buy the replacement parts, or do I go down the mk2 fan with gold resistor route???
I would also like to add that my current fan has written on it in white pen, 2.0 KV6??
is there a difference in fans between 2.0 and 2.5?
Thanks for looking.
Not aware of any difference between the 2.0 and 2.5. I've opened about eight fan motors and brought five of them back to life, the others had commutator damage but you'll only know once you're in there.
Unfortunately most of Arctic's pics fell ransom to Photobucket but here's a video of his:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ls1B...ature=youtu.be
Quite a lot of information if you use the search, no need to completely remove the cowling free the small bolts and lift & hinge it to the side. Good luck with the three torx screws holding the motor, these can be difficult.
