As you say, pointless, because Roger’s limousines don’t have smelly horses, and I’m sure Roger doesn’t smell too bad either, so the original reason for the dividing screen has gone.
And I would hardly call a black cab a limousine, yet they all have glass screens (ok, to protect the driver from the smelly passengers?)
