Snow chains are used just to get you moving when stuck on ice/snow or to be able to climb up that snowy hill. Chains are not used to drive distances. Put your money in proper winter tires as we do here in Norway. The 15 inch wheels works best for this. I have used snow chains once to be able to climb up some step hills on fresh snow:
