I sprayed the pipe joints with some water to see if any of the solder joints had failed but I couldn't see anything, It seemed the service engineer who serviced the boiler earlier in the year hadn't tightened the gas pressure test bolt where they check for a sustained pressure.
Oooo eerrr - that was not good! I have a bottle of some stuff in the garage that you spray on gas pipes to help detect leaks - bit of a glorified detergent mix I’m sure but when you use it on leaks you get these amazing bubbles

Glad you got it sorted.

As for the weather here on the tip of Hampshire at the Dorset Wiltshire border it is a glorious sunny day.
