Both of mine snapped in the same week in January, both front tyres needed replacing too! Luckily I was moving slowly both times. Fortunately replacement springs aren't expensive but it's a pig of a job as most parts that need to be dismantled are pretty grubby and seized.

My springs were likely weakened due to broken/worn top strut mount bearings so check and replace along with the springs.
