Nothing wrong with concentric cylinders per se but MG Rover should have spent a bit more and specified decent ones for our cars.
I've never seen a friction disc anywhere near worn out when replacing a failed slave cylinder. There are 4 other hydraulic slave cylinders on our cars. Imagine if the brake calipers failed before they had even got through their first set of pads.
