In these photo's you can clearly see a section where you can hook the O-ring off the cap

If you look inside the oil pot there is also a ridge where the seal sits when it as been screwed in, the flat edge of the cap them mates up with the top edge of the alloy pot.

Note the ledge which the O-rings seats on when top is screwed in and nipped up not over tightened

The upper recess shown here by the hooking tool is not the place for the O-ring seal.

If it is fitted there it is only a matter of time before it will leak, all owners /members it is worth checking.
