Building a vis tester is not too difficult even for someone like me a mechanic/welder the hardest components to acquire are the plugs from the engine loom for the vis motors if you can get these then it's easy enough. Look through the "How To" section all info is there mate.

I recently purchased an engine loom from a breaker in the UK, it cost me £20 sterling. All the other components were sourced from an electronics supply shop. I suppose you could buy all that you would need online also.

If you are interested in building your own tester and can't get the vis plugs I would quite happily try to find a loom for you here in the UK and mail it to you mate.
