Not heard of any tape around the windscreen as I thought they were just bonded using a urethane adhesive to the car.
The sound appears to be around the side mirror area but could be around the A pillar . It is strange because it is hard to nail down its exact location.
When you open any of the windows it appears to stop probably due to pressure.
When the car gets hit by a gust of wind whilst driving the sound increases so somthing to do with external air pressure hitting the passenger side of the car.
I'm wondering if the glass on the passenger door is sealing properly although it appears to be closed and tight?
My next port of call will be to remove the side mirror and check the seal out.
