Default How Identify KV6 2.0 & 2.5 liter Engine

Hi Rover 75īs lovers:

I came up with this question, because I just change the timing belts on a second hand 2002 Auto Conn SE that I just bought several weeks ago running just fine.

I have 2 other KV6 2.5 liter 75īs and I did already 4 timing belts changes without any issue and this time was my fifth, but on this new vehicle after the change I have no compression on the engine. Cranking runs freely; is like the valves are not closing at the correct time, and now something rings the bells :

1 - Itīs this original 2.5 liter Rover 75 suffers an engine swap perhaps by the previous owner and now itīs fitted with an 2.0 liter ?
2 - Because timing tool use different semi circular holding set itīs can be the cause (I did use the one for 2.5 liters)?

So saying this how I can identify if this engine is 2.0 or 2.5 liter to be sure?

Kind regards
Joel Antonio.
