A good quality stainless fastener will have at least 80% of the tensile strength an 8.8 grade fastener will have. Higher grades exceed the tensile strength of an 8.8 grade fastener which is likely what’s fitted currently. So provided you get at least a 50 grade you won’t see a big drop in the capacity. If you are concerned, fit two.
