None of this applies if the system is kept as designed. Each stud (except those on the front apron on pre-facelift Rovers) should be fitted with a nylon retaining washer KZM 100 030.

Oh, and of course grounding the undertray by driving too fast over speed humps will help to loosen and damage any fitting.
