Didn't bother me as I was at home and the mobile is always connected to wifi, though I realise it would have impacted quite severely those that depend on it for their work especially small businesses.
Case in point: I normally use my mobile and google maps as a sat nav, though I have a back up installed for when out of mobile coverage etc using Magic Earth that doesn't need 3/4G to function as it has a downloadable map database.
