Is yours the highline (with message centre) or lowline pack?
If the lowline, then you have the same situation as me. The SMC ones are listed as for later VINs, but looking on EPC, the previous VIN versions have been supreceded to this part number aynway.
At least that's how I read it, and bought one as a spare for my '00
