Plan B.
Turns out the rear heatshield also has the electro-thingy
so I've bought a new one (
£18.26 ex vat yesterday in the 17% sale).
Now I can chop the old one up and make some moulded washers for the front one (as per Arctic's 2nd pic in post 7).
