I have a Proxxon scroll saw, so yes agree that they are excellent.

I also have a Delta table-top band saw. This is another manufacturer of quality tools.

There is nothing wrong with the cheaper tools for everyday use - they just lack the precision, power and longevity. My cheap multi-tools stay in the garage/lock-up whereas the finer tools and stored in the warmth of of the house.
