Yes, comfort (better in a 75) nice sound from the engine/exhaust, the engine will go on and on. Parts are okay with some bits to watch out for. The weaknesses have been reduced with replacement parts.
No, if you don't mind the fuel bills, going from diesel to V8 will be noticeable. The oil is 5000 between replacement though I'm convinced it can go longer. Never had the guts to test it.
There are owners who run the V8's as daily cars but over time has reduced, moving to weekend/show runners. If you are mindful of budget pressure then no.
