No vaccine is 100% certain to work, none of them, but given that they reduce one's chances of not getting to 70%, drastically reduce the severity, reduce the chances of dying, also reduces the chances of passing it on - then any sensible person whether a gambler or not, will understand which is the correct choice to make.
I too take my own precautions, but I supplement them with vaccinations. Unless you live in a cave, on a private island and which you never leave, then you simply cannot guarantee getting it, nor can you suggest you cannot pass it on. Like most of us, you will be going shopping, mixing with others and taking the risks.
