I was having an MOT done yesterday on a friends Golf, my MOT tester was telling me about a Jag he did this week. It was a recent purchase by one of his regulars and he asked if he could take a look underneath. This is a 2008 Xtype estate that looked immaculate with low miles apparently. Anyway once up on the lift he was shocked to see the rust and holes in the chassis and he told him no to drive it as it was in his opinion dangerous as some of the suspension parts could easily become detached
. The car had no advisories on the last MOT and it was only carried out 8 weeks beforehand. He is reporting the testing station.
I thought these duff MOT's had been stopped but obviously not. I wonder how many cars are out there with dangerous faults with a fresh MOT?
