I always remove the valves & lap-in afterwards but this is just a recommendation.

Remove the camshafts & the hydraulic lifters/buckets (keep them in order if you don't intend to empty them out & keep the camshaft caps in order too).

Which head gasket do you intend to use? (this is dependant on liner height).
