Great always good to keep a good known used pump (pierburg) in the boot just in case, all you need to do now is sort out that poor after market pump i have said before i would always go for a good known used UBP (pierburg) before ever buying an after market UBP pump, no matter how much warranty came with it, hopefully you will get your money back and you can use for something else

Hi Arctic, yes I have two spare pierburgs now so I will just store them both in the boot along with the tools required for a change. Won't take up much space. I spoke to the supplier and, as I did not want a replacement pump, they offered to credit my account with the cost of the aftermarket pump. I thought this was agreeable as I will no doubt need to purchase other parts in the future
