Firstly many thanks to all those who have highlighted the need to attend to this problem. Your efforts are not unappreciated.
I didn't intend to "do" this job today at all. A "recce" was what I intended, but as Magnus Magnusson might have said "I'd started so I finished". Well not quite. There was a veritable lake in there so I had no choice but to get on with it. The only problem I encountered was in trying to copy Artic's pushing the rod right through to the ground. Mine encountered resistance somewhere, and as I couldn't get onto ramps or under I couldn't see what caused the stoppage. I could see rubber pipes moving as I jiggled my rod (
) so I decided to explore further on another day. I did have the foresight to mark up the spyhole location, so on that other day I can do that too. For now the water's out.
