Why not try a local bodyshop?
I take your point that there are some dodgy repair guys out there but lets face it they are both mobile and static.

In my case it was my local bodyshop that recommended Dent Master as they themselves use this service and indeed it was booked through my local bodyshop and carried out in their carpark.

Bodyshop stated that they are happy to offer this service to the customer if the type of dent suited this type of repair, as it was far cheaper.

I totally agree that word of mouth recommendations or sight of past work is the best way to ensure your repair is in safe hands.
